This is a very pretty hotel that is well located (although noisy), but any positives are overshadowed by the lack of integrity and professionalism on the part of the management. In February 2023, I revised my reservation online within a few days of originally booking it, to come 2 days earlier. On arrival in September, I was told I had 2 reservations, a second one after my departure date. This came as a total surprise since I had not heard from the hotel in 6 months except to ask for my time of arrival. No mention of 2 bookings(and no mention of different days of arrival). The extremely rude and arrogant manager argued that in addition to the 3 days I stayed, I would have to pay for a further 3 days⊠thatâs over $1000 which they billed to my credit card. The argument was that I had changed but not cancelled the reservation which prevented anyone else from reserving the rooms. That was not true because the hotel was empty and there were a number of rooms available on various hotel booking sites. I wrote to the owners making a case for my position, but they were not interested.
So be wary of Petite Folie. Their customer service and attitude leaves much to be desired. Incidents like these tarnish a hotelâs reputation and ruined our stay.
There are other beautiful hotels in Honfleur. I recommend you try those.
